Ludhiana Congress remembers Rajiv Gandhi

LUDHIANA: The District Congress Committee Ludhiana (Urban) today organised a function to mark the 23nd death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

DCC urban and rural presidents Pawan Dewan and Malkit Singh Dakha said, it was Rajiv Gandhi who introduced the age of 18 for the youth the exercise their voting rights. Similarly, he introduced the Panchayati Raj Act and also the information technology in the country. It was unfortunate that Rajiv Gandhi was martyred in the prime of his youth and had he been there for more time India would have progressed much more.

On this occasion they appealed the youth to follow his path and realise his dreams. Parminder Mehta, Gurmukh Singh Mithu, Rakesh Sharma, Vikram Pehalwan, Sanjay Sharma, Navneesh Malhotra, Rohit Pahwa were also present on this occasion.
