Zira protests against land acquisition bill, arrested by UT police along with 13 supporters

CHANDIGARH: S Inderjit Singh Zira, Chairman, Kisan Khet Majdoor Cell, Pradesh Congress today again stopped the cavalcade of the Chief Minister S Parkash Singh Badal when he was entering the Punjab Vidhan Sabha for the ongoing session.

The Chief Minister had to change his entry at the last moment. S Zira protested outside the Vidhan Sabha and raised slogans against the land acquisition bill. Terming this bill as anti farmer Zira said that already all the opposition parties of India has started protests against this bill and all the farmer organizations are also on the streets. This anti farmer bill will not be allowed to be cleared from the Rajyasabha at any cost.

S Zira dared the Chief Minister of Punjab S Parkash Singh Badal to atleast learn something from the Chief Minister of Uttar Pardesh Sh Akhilesh Yadav who has already taken a principal decision not to acquire any farmers land against their wish.

Later he was arrested today with 13 supporters consecutively for the third day and taken to sector 3 police station.
