Cricket World Cup 2015 Semifinal: Australia score 328/7 against India

March 26, 2015 01:30 PM

SYDNEY: Australia, after winning the toss, made 328 for seven against defending champions India in their World Cup semi-final at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Thursday.

Steven Smith (105) and Aaron Finch (81) looked to be batting India out of the match completely during a second-wicket stand of 182.
But India fought back, with paceman Umesh Yadav taking four for 72 before Mitchell Johnson smashed an unbeaten 27 off nine balls.

The highest total ever made batting second to win a one-day international at the SCG is Australia's 334 for six against England in 2011.
The winners of Thursday's match will play New Zealand in Sunday's final at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
